PROGRAMME
Scientists and engineers are invited to submit contributions on all aspects of combustion science and technology from fundamental physical and chemical processes to applications, including chemical kinetics, laminar and turbulent flames, combustion diagnostics, coal and biomass combustion, spray and droplet combustion, fires, detonations and explosions, materials synthesis, engine combustion and energy systems. Research students particularly are encouraged to participate.
Planned colloquia include, but are not limited to:

Conference Banquet at Tágide Restaurant
17 November (Thursday) 20:00 – 23:00
For the past thirty years the Tágide restaurant has remained one of Lisbon’s most prestigious restaurants. Occupying a fine eighteenth century building, this flagship restaurant is situated in the heart of Chiado and boasts one of the most amazing views over the old quarter of the city and Tagus river.
SUBMISSIONS
Authors are requested to submit extended abstracts of maximum length two pages by 26th October 2016. The abstracts should send by email to mcosta@ist.utl.pt. The abstract template can be downloaded here. The programme will consist of short oral presentations based on accepted extended abstracts.
VENUE
The meeting will take place in Lisbon, Portugal, at Instituto Superior Técnico. The university is situated centrally in Lisbon, close to Alameda. It will offer both an excellent framework for the meeting with the possibility for parallel sessions as well as reasonable accommodation. Lunch will be provided at the venue. The IST campus can be easily reached by metro, using the red line Oriente, and both stations Saldanha (west of the campus) and Alameda (east of the campus) can be used. The Congress Centre (Centro de Congressos) is located in the Civil Engineering building. Follow the directions inside the campus to reach the building and, once inside, directions lead to the Congress Centre.
